Everything’s new. Look, listen, notice. A first taste of each discipline. Music, ballet, theater. Nobody has to be good at anything yet. Just take it in.

Now we move. Steps across the floor, melodies that move with us, scenes that pass from kid to kid. Nobody stands still.

Now we pretend. Stepping into characters, trying on voices, letting a story change direction mid-scene. The kids are settled in now, ready to take a little risk.

Now it gets loud. Claps, stomps, silly songs, surprising sounds. Making noise on purpose, watching the room laugh.

Everything comes together. A morning to reflect on the week and the friends they made. Then a showcase for families. The kid who walked in on Monday stands up in front of a room and performs.

We’re all Neighbors on Moana

Sierra Nevada Ballet has been teaching dancers on Moana for 25 years. Sierra School of Performing Arts runs theater for kids who want to act, sing, and put on a real show. Music for Little Mozarts teaches little musicians their first notes on a piano. We all share one building! This summer, we’re opening the doors between us for a week, because art is more fun with friends.

$200 for the week

Parents encouraged to stay and take part

NNPAC Performing Arts Summer Camp — moments from ballet, music, and theater classes with Sierra Nevada Ballet, Sierra School of Performing Arts, and Steinway Piano Gallery.

Three groups, three studios, one shared program

Kids begin together, then split into three small groups that rotate through music, ballet, and theater with snack resets between rounds. It keeps the morning moving, lets every child try everything, and makes the structure much easier for families to follow.

Daily Rhythm

Short blocks. Clear transitions.

The morning runs 9:00 AM to noon, with just enough breathing room between activities to keep younger kids fresh.

  1. 9:00AM
Morning Circle Everyone starts together with the theme of the day.
  2. 9:30–11:30
Rotations & Snack Breaks Small groups cycle through music, ballet, and theater with snack resets between rounds.
  3. 12:00PM
Noon Pickup By the end, every child has spent time in all three rooms.

Parents welcome to stay and follow the flow with their child all morning.

How the Rotation Works

Each group changes studios every session.

We split into three small groups so the room stays calm, active, and age-appropriate. The groups rotate in a simple loop.

Friday Finale

The week ends in a family showcase.

9:00 AM Opening Circle & Final Rehearsal

A short circle to reflect on the week, then each group runs its rooms one more time to prep for the show.

11:30 AM Showcase for Families

A short performance where music, ballet, and theater come together for families to watch.

Location

The program runs across all three partner studios in our shared building.
